For almost fifty years, the Larkey Private Swim Club has been a source of relaxation and fun to many families. Through the cooperative efforts of its members thru the decades, Larkey has grown into a sizable family-oriented facility which includes a club house, baby pool, picnic areas with barbecue pits, sport court, as well as a competition size swimming pool. An integral part of the swim club is its summer recreational swim team, the award-winning Larkey Sharks, organized in 1960. As participants in the Walnut Creek Swim Conference, the Sharks provide wholesome and healthy activities for children of the Larkey Swim Club members.
